This week guest speakers from E&A Consulting Group come to talk to the AP Environmental Science class. Recently they have been studying urbanization, and the speakers discussed jobs in the urban planning field and all the considerations taken into account when planning projects. The students enjoyed a "scavenger hunt" as they tried to read the plans for a neighborhood. The students learned about some of the features in new neighborhoods that were built to mitigate issues caused by having a lot of non-permeable surfaces (silt runoff).
