2025-2026 Early Action Acceptance for Kindergarten
Who Should Apply for Early Action? If Brownell Talbot is your unequivocal first choice for kindergarten, then we urge you to apply through Early Action.
Early Action Dates and Deadlines
- November 8: Required one-hour kindergarten playdate for applicants.
- By November 15: Required 30-minute parent interview. There are several dates and times from which to choose. Register here.
- November 15: Application deadline.
- December 2: Admissions decisions sent. Accepted students will receive an Early Action Agreement.
- December 8: Early Action Agreement due with a $1,000 deposit (credited to your first tuition payment).
- February: The BT enrollment contract will be sent. Families have 7 days to complete it.
What are the benefits of applying Early Action?
It’s early! You will know if you’ve been accepted to your first-choice school before winter break and you will have peace of mind.
What if your child cannot attend the November 8 playdate?
Your child’s application will be moved to a regular decision in February.
If I apply Early Action to BT, what decision might I expect?
The Admissions Committee will make one of two decisions on each Early Action application:
- Admit
- Defer to Regular Decision
If the decision on an application has been deferred, that application will be reviewed again during the regular decision round.
What if you don't sign the Early Action Agreement by December 8?
The Early Action Agreement is void. Your child’s application will be considered for the regular decision round in February.
Please contact Director of Enrollment for Lower School Kim Schinzel at 402.556.3772 or [email protected] if you have any questions.
What to Expect
Once we have an understanding of your family’s needs, we will pair you with an enrollment director who will be your main point of contact throughout the inquiry and application process. They can answer your specific questions and connect you to other members of the BT community to learn more. Your enrollment director will provide personalized tours of the school, arrange for your child to shadow in the classroom with peer students, and ensure you are aware of upcoming community activities that will help you make an informed decision about your child’s future school.
We will also use this time to learn about you. What does your family value in an educational partner? What are your priorities for your child’s growth and development? What are their passions, interests, and concerns?
We look forward to getting to know your family!
