Camp Discovery

Preschool day camp operates from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm daily (with morning and after care available) and includes a variety of activities to meet the interests of our campers, as well as challenge them. All camps are cross-curricular and include literacy, science, math, art, and a rest period. 

• Our preschool camps are run by Brownell Talbot staff who dedicate themselves to our students year-round. 
• Camps will be held in our brand-new Lower School educational wing!
• All preschool-aged children must be toilet-trained.  
• Campers must be at least 3 years old by May 31, 2026. 
• Two sections of preschool camps will be offered if needed.  

June 8-12

Preschool Tricera-tots Camp

Prepare for the prehistoric, as we work to understand the roar-some world of dinosaurs. Campers will get hands-on STEM and creative experience, centered around all things dinosaurs. Both indoors and outdoors, with plenty of time to rest and recharge; we will enjoy snack time, story time, and tons of excitement. From dinosaur eggs to fossils, join us for a t-rexcellent week of learning and fun.

Preschool Everyday Heroes Adventure Camp!

Four-day camp!

Clock in to work, learning about the professions that keep our world going strong! Campers will discover fascinating information about the important careers we look up to through hands-on activities, crafts, and playful exploration about careers from firefighting, nursing, police work, and more. Each day, we'll blend adventure with learning, enjoying time to rest, recharge, and fuel up to learn about possible career paths and what we want to be when we grow up! Get ready for a week of fun, curiosity, and making new plans about what we want to be when we grow up! Please note, this is a four-day camp due to the Juneteenth holiday.

Preschool Rain-or-Shine Camp

Hop on in for a journey through the weather cycle and seasons. Campers will learn and experience how natural phenomena, from rain to snow to clouds or sunshine occur, through imaginative play and hands-on scientific activities. Each day, we'll blend adventure with learning, enjoying time to rest, recharge, and fuel up to learn about meteorology and what that means. Join us for a week of weather-filled fun, scientific exploration, and an unforgettable adventure through nature!

June 29 - July 3

Preschool Little Sprouts Camp

Shrink on down to explore bugs, plants, and wonders of the garden as we discover the amazing things present in the average garden. Campers will learn about plants and insects through hands-on activities and outdoor play. Each day, we’ll meld curiosity and creativity with time to rest, have a snack, and listen to stories about the natural world. Join us for a week of exploring all the tiny marvels that make gardens grow!

Preschool Ocean Adventure Camp

Dive into the wonders of the underwater world, as we learn about the creatures and ecosystems of the ocean. Campers will learn about marine habitats from coral reefs to kelp forests, to seagrass meadows and more, and those sea creatures who inhabit them through exciting hands-on activities, outdoor play, and ocean-inspired art projects. Each day, we’ll splash into adventure with time to rest, enjoy snacks, and learn all about the creatures that call the ocean home. Join us for a week of sand-sational activities and sea-inspired fun!

Preschool Wild Ones Camp Camp

Jump into the wild as we journey through the landscapes of faraway lands! This week, campers will explore the wonders of the wild, learning about amazing animals, unique habitats, and the beauty of nature through hands-on activities and outdoor play. Each day brings a mix of exploration and discovery, with time for snacks, rest, and captivating stories from the worlds of the rainforest and savannah. Get ready for an un-furgettable exploration of the wild!

Camp Discovery offers a coed full-day camp experience for rising kindergarteners through eighth graders. Campers are grouped by age for their safety. Adventure Camp operates from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm daily with morning and aftercare available. Adventures Camps focus on a weekly theme and include a variety of activities to meet the individual interests of our campers. Campers participate in art, swimming or water play, and outdoor activities daily.

• Camp tuition includes all supplies and a morning snack daily. 
• Campers are required to bring their own lunch and a water bottle.
• Camp Discovery reserves the right to cancel a camp due to low enrollment.  
• Campers who add on sports or specialty clinics will be escorted back and forth from each activity.

Color Wars Adventure Camp! 

Kindergarten - Grade 4

Here comes a colorful week of excitement, energy, and friendly competition! Campers will join dueling color teams and face off in wild challenges that test strategy, teamwork, and creativity. Each day includes time in the pool or water play, outdoor adventures, creative art projects, and so much more! Plus, the amazing chance to make new friends along the way. Join us for a week of team spirit and unforgettable memories through a colorful spectrum of summer adventures that campers are bound to remember!

With every single day being a brand new theme; no one knows the mystery this camp holds - not even us! Campers have a chance to dive into exciting mysterious activities that challenge their creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Each day also includes time for art, swimming or water play, outdoor adventures, and more. Get ready for a week of thrilling discoveries, unforgettable fun, and the chance to make new friends. Going for Gold Adventure Camp! 

Kindergarten - Grade 4

Welcome to our Summer Games themed camp, where teamwork and friendly competition create unforgettable memories! Campers will represent their cabins as a team as they participate in challenges and activities to test their strength, stamina, brainpower, and creativity. From high-energy races to team-based contests, every event brings the excitement of the Olympics to summer camp. Join us for a week of gold medal-worthy fun, cabin pride, and epic summer adventures!

July 13-17 

Curtain Call Adventure Camp!

Kindergarten - Grade 4

This week, it is every Camper’s chance to shine! Campers will spend the week planning and preparing for a jam-packed talent show at the end of camp, where they’ll showcase their unique skills and creativity. Whatever talent you choose, you can do! From singing and dancing to magic tricks and comedy, the stage is yours! Alongside working on their talents, campers will enjoy all the typical fun of camp, including art, swimming or water play, outdoor adventures, and so on. Plus, they’ll get to experience the magic of a live theater performance from our specialty theatre camp actors of Moana! Get ready for a week of self-expression, unforgettable memories, and endless fun!

Camp Discovery offers a coed, full-day summer experience designed specifically for rising 5th through 8th graders. Adventure Camp runs from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm, with optional morning care and aftercare available.

Each week features a unique theme and a wide variety of activities tailored to middle school interests. Campers enjoy daily art, swimming or water play, and outdoor activities, along with specialized weekly programming such as mural making, skateboarding, VEX robotics, and theatre production. Based on the weekly theme, campers dive into their chosen craft while still enjoying the fun and traditions of daily camp life.

Color & Create Camp!

Grades 5-8

Welcome to a camp full of artistic endeavors and making galore! This camp focuses on creativity in all its forms:from bracelet-making to collaborative mural projects and so much more. Campers will also have free time to dream up and create projects from their own imaginations. Let your creative side shine in this exciting experience of togetherness and community as campers work on individual projects side-by-side with new friends at Maker Camp!

To wrap up an unforgettable week, campers will join the rest of our summer program in a friendly, high-energy Color War celebration full of teamwork, spirit, and fun.

June 15-18 

Youth Service & Leadership Lab Camp

Grades 5-8

Join us for an enriching program designed for students to engage in community service while developing leadership skills, empathy, and social awareness. This camp will blend volunteer work with educational activities and reflection sessions to foster personal growth and community involvement. Campers will ‘clock into work,’ learning about various programs around our community who serve others and how we can help too! Special guests from our community will come in to discuss what they do and why they do it, inspiring campers to think about their futures. Please note, this is a four-day camp due to the Juneteenth holiday.

Bike, Blade, and Board Camp

Grades 5-8

Get ready to roll! This exciting week-long camp invites middle schoolers to dive into the world of wheeled transportation, bikes, skateboards, roller skates, scooters, and more. Campers will explore the history and pop-culture impact of these manual modes of movement while learning about safety, design, and how wheels have shaped the ways we get around.

Campers must bring their own wheels and will have supervised time to ride, practice skills, and cruise around with friends at Memorial Park. Protective gear is required for all riding activities, including helmets and knee pads. Join us for a dynamic week of movement, exploration, and fun on wheels!

Mystery Adventure Camp

Grades 5-8

Get ready for a camp experience designed just for middle schoolers! With a schedule packed with activities promoting fun, independence, and new experiences. Highlights include an “almost overnight” packed with excitement and an off-campus trip to the local favorite, eCreamery, for a sweet treat. Each day brings new opportunities to make friends, explore, and enjoy a week of thrills!

Science Camp with Vex Robotics 

Grades 5-8

Have you ever wondered what it might feel like to create a robot? From all aspects, designing, building and programming? Come explore the challenging yet rewarding world of engineering while you design, program, and test your bot! This camp will introduce campers to the basics of modeling, mechanical design planning, and programming of your VEX robot system. Campers will participate in competitive challenges throughout the week. BT robotics coach Mrs. Rise would love to have you join her for this incredible camp!

July 13-17

Games Galore Camp!

Grades 5-8

Game over? The game has just begun! If you love to play games, join us at Gamers Galore and become an all-around gamer! This camp will consist of fun-filled days playing board games, card games, video games, and even more! Campers will work on collaboration and teamwork, with friendly competition and togetherness, gaining a better understanding of their peers and how to work well together.

**Please note: Campers in grades 3-8 must be enrolled in a Theatre Camp session to participate in the production. Volunteer opportunities are not available for middle school students during Theatre Camp. 

June 29 - July 17 

Camp Discovery Summer Stage Camp 

Grades 3-8

Do you perform regularly for your friends and families? Do you want to gain inside knowledge into the theatre? Come join Educational Theater Association Hall of Fame Inductee and Brownell Talbot Theatre Director Jennifer Morgan as you gain confidence while learning a mini production! This camp will conclude with a summer camp production of Moana Kids! All aspects of what makes a theatre production will be explored! If you love to entertain, you feel the world is your stage, and you simply love the idea of stepping outside your comfort zone, this camp is for you! Disney's Moana Kids is presented through special arrangement with Musical Theatre International (MTI). The performance will take place during the day on July 17.

Tech Camp: Behind the Curtain 

Grades 3-8

Any camper wanting to help behind the scenes of our theater production of Moana Kids should sign up for this opportunity to work with our incredible staff. Campers will dive into the art of costume design, construction of sets, lighting techniques, and so much more! From brainstorming designs to hands-on building, painting, and assembly, you'll play a vital role in the creation of a dazzling production. Along the way, campers will also explore elements of set design, costume construction, and behind-the-scenes magic. Get ready for a week of creativity, collaboration, and unforgettable fun as we help make this summer's performance truly spectacular!

Sports camps may be attended independently or added on to any existing program in the same session. Campers enrolled in more than one camp per day will be escorted back and forth to specialty camp. 

NEW! Multisport Camp 

June 8-12

Kindergarten - Grade 2
A fun, one-hour introductory session giving young athletes a taste of multiple sports—soccer, football, basketball, track & field, and more! Each class features a mix of skills, movement games, and plenty of energy. Perfect for beginners.

Football Camps

Football camps are an exciting opportunity for campers to develop their skills, work as a team, and have a blast on the field! Below are the camps we will be offering throughout the summer.

June 8-12

Football Intermediate

Grades 3-5 
Are you ready for some football?! Our youngest campers will learn football basics in a safe and encouraging environment. Campers will learn the basics of football focusing on passing, catching, kicking, punting, running, and basic football movement. This is a NON-CONTACT camp.

Football Skills

Grades 6-8
This camp is designed for the young athletes in grades 6-8 who want to develop their football skills in a positive and encouraging environment. Campers will continue to develop more advanced skills in passing, receiving, kicking, punting, flag pulling, and football movement. This is a NON-CONTACT camp.

Basketball Camps

Basketball camps offer a fun and supportive environment where athletes can sharpen their skills, build confidence, and learn the value of teamwork. Below are the basketball camps we’ll be offering throughout the season.

June 22-26 

Basketball Intermediate

Grades 3-5 
Come learn the fundamentals of basketball, skills, and what makes a great teammate. Campers will learn beginner basketball concepts, work on hand-eye coordination and develop friendships while being introduced to the sport. This is a co-ed camp.

Basketball Skills

Grades 6-8
Continue to develop your skills while learning to master common basketball fundamentals including shooting, passing, ball handling, rebounding, and defense. Campers will be divided by skill level and ability during drills and games.

Volleyball Camps

Volleyball camps provide an exciting opportunity for players to grow their skills, develop strong fundamentals, and gain confidence on the court. Below are the volleyball camps we’ll be offering throughout the season.
