As an educational institution, we are challenged to keep a critical eye on who we are and what we do to ensure we are still serving our community and meeting its needs to the best of our ability. Strategic planning and re-accreditation are key tools we use to do this.
In 2019, the cycles with which Brownell Talbot conducts its strategic planning and works through the re-accreditation process with the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS) aligned and allowed the school to think deeply and comprehensively about who we are, where we are headed, and how we want to get there.
As we approached the stated end year of the 2019-2023 Strategic Plan, BT revisited the purpose of these two processes and recognized the benefits we realized when they coincided. To harness that same level of synergy, BT extended the end date of our current strategic plan to 2025 so that the cycles of strategic planning and re-accreditation will align once again.
During the 2025-2026 school year, BT will enter Year 2 - Self-Study of the ISACS process. At that time we will be forming our strategic planning committee and conducting research to inform the strategic plan and the ISACS self-study report.
We are actively making progress toward our current strategic goals and are excited by that work - specifically our partnership with Common Ground Collaborative and our focus on preparing students with a global education.
