On Thursday, March 28, Lower School celebrated the ample learning that is taking place this semester by showcasing each grade level's inquiry project at the Spring Celebration of Learning. Parents were welcomed into classrooms to hear directly from students about their projects:
- Wildlife Room - What do farmers do during the spring to help people and animals in the world? An inquiry into what takes place on a farm.
- Forest Room - - What makes birds so fascinating? An inquiry into what defines a bird.
- Wildflower Room - How do we take care of a pet hamster? An inquiry into hamster traits and pet ownership responsibilities.
- Kindergarten - Why do letters and sounds matter? An inquiry into the importance of language in our everyday lives.
- First Grade - How do we become storytellers? An inquiry into the many different ways to tell a story.
- Second Grade - What makes ME become WE? An inquiry into community resources and how people meet their needs in their community.
- Third Grade - Where did all the freshwater go? An inquiry into the world's access to water, demands on water, and water pollution.
- Fourth Grade - How have the diverse contributions of historical figures shaped and enriched our global community? An inquiry into diverse historical figures.
