Nikhil Woods, '27, travelled to Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida to witness the launch of a satellite he has worked on as part of the Nebraska Big Red Satellite Team. The team's experimental satellite, which tests the performance and durability of perovskite solar cells in outer space, measures about four inches on each size or roughly the size of a cubed tissue box and is aboard the SaceX Falcon 9 rocket. The team sent about 40 people to witness the launch.
