More than three years ago, with input from across the BT community, the school developed an ambitious campus master plan commensurate with the goal of defining and setting the standard for excellence in learning environments.
On January 24, Dr. Gibbs invited BT families to campus to share the transformational project, Building Together, that will begin to bring that vision to life. With this project, the school is addressing our campus’s most pronounced needs and paving the way for future improvements.
Following the current school year, the school will break ground on a fully redesigned East Campus that will introduce new collaborative spaces and significant facilities upgrades to enhance BT's learning environment for all. Among the highlights are a new, state-of-the-art building for Lower School classrooms, a new and vastly improved Lower and Middle School gym, and a new main entrance and atrium in the center of our campus.
You can find project details and additional renderings on brownell.edu as well as a method for asking questions that we can address moving forward.
This major step forward is made possible by some foundational support for our campus plan, including visionary contributions from Debbie and Brian Wood, BT Legacy Families, our Board of Trustees, and the BT Foundation Board. In the months ahead, the BT community will be invited to join in contributing to the project’s success and the future we are building together.
