The final week of the 2023-2024 school year provided many opportunities for the BT community to say farewell to the Lower School building and Roberts Gymnasium.
On Monday, May 20, current and past students, families, faculty and staff attended an Open House. Spaces in the Lower School building were open for people to tour and reminisce. Former Headmaster Dianne K. Desler and retired Lower School principal Ann Nordin were on hand to share memories and catch up with attendees.
Throughout the week, teachers invited students to paint the windows, write on the brick, and color the walls ahead of the building being demolished. It made for a very colorful and fun end to the school year!
Demolition of the Lower School and Roberts Gymnasium will take place during the summer in preparation for the construction of the new Lower School and Lower and Middle School gym, to be completed by spring 2026.
