On December 3, Julea Che, '34, participated in Omaha's Children's Business Fair, hosted by Acton Academy and Prairie STEM. Children develop a brand, create a product or service, build a marketing strategy, and then open for customers in this one-day marketplace. Julea chose to make and sell banana bread from scratch. She paid for her ingredients using money she earned from her first fair in April 2023. With minimal assistance from adults she baked the bread and packaged it for sale. Her four-year old brother served as her sous chef! While at the fair, Julea had many interested customers, including BT alumni Mike Skinner, '82!
